Digital DJ Meetup- GameSalad Turntable Thursdays

Hey U.S GameSalad users! Need some help finding the perfect tunes to develop to? Here at GameSalad, we are obsessed with Turntable.fm. Playing sweet jams (think Vanilla Ice’s Ninja Rap) helps to keep us happy and productive. We would love for you to join us for our weekly digital meetup in the GameSalad room at Turntable.fm. If you are unfamiliar with Turntable.fm, it is a browser based chatroom, which is still in beta, that allows users to stream music via a cast of five rotating DJs. The DJs create playlists and songs rotate from one DJ to the next. If you are not in a coveted DJ spot, don’t despair! You can vote on how “lame” or “awesome” a song is and participate in discussions via the chat window. DJs earn points for picking cool songs and winning the favor of the head bopping avatars. Don't judge my queue... Now that you know the details, here are some ground rules and friendly reminders: 1. Share the DJ Love If the room gets large and we have many people wanting to DJ, please attempt to limit yourself to 4 songs per DJ spot. This will allow more people to have the opportunity to experience the awesomeness of Turntable.
2. Don’t Troll We believe that Turntable is most fun when you are being inspired and feeding off the songs that others are playing. Playing joke songs for thirty seconds can be ironically funny (i.e playing Rebecca Black’s Friday), but expect to get booted or “lame-d” out if you play something against the general consistence of the room. It should also go without saying that weird things like podcasts, presidential speeches and other such things are unwelcome.
3. Keep it Fun We intend for this to be a off-topic GameSalad user hang out. The GameSalad staff will be chilling and Dj-ing in the room throughout the day and we can’t wait to get to know you better and talk about music, games, and whatever else is on your mind. Just remember that the Turntable chatroom is not an outlet for feature requests, bug reports, or customer support issues. 9 times out of 10 we will direct you to the help desk to submit your queries to the proper channels.
