Apple’s debut of the iPhone 4S with Sprint is exceeding sales expectations. Beating internal estimates, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse confirms the early success of the 4S. While not divulging specific sales numbers, Heese confirmed that the iPhone 4S is the fast-selling smartphone that Sprint has ever carried.

Sprint’s agreement with Apple includes a four-year contract to sell iPhone products and a subsidy payment of $200 dollars per iPhone sale to Apple. Sprint hopes to compensate for these payments with a bevy of new subscribers locked into lengthy service plans. Source: TUAW
