Fantastic Arcade presents Juegos Rancheros

Besides breakfast tacos and BBQ, one of the greatest things about living in Austin is the amazing creative community that lives and works here. Enter Juegos Rancheros. Juegos Rancheros is an Austin based community of independent game developers and game fans. The group was founded in 2011 by Adam Saltsman of Canabalt fame, Brandon Boyer, Chairman of IGF, and Wiley Wiggins, Creative Director of Karakasa Games and, YES, actor in Dazed in Confused. Juegos Rancheros is a partnership with the Alamo Drafthouse and Fantastic Arcade. Showcasing independent games, the group holds meet ups the first Sunday of every month at the Highball. This Sunday, Juegos Rancheros is presenting a StarHawk themed meetup. Starhawk was designed by Austin locals, Lightbox Interactive and some of their designers will be on hand showing off their indie side projects. Expect insightful discussions about how indie development and philosophies influenced the creation of the big budget title.
