GameSalad Events: New Game Conference 2011

On Wednesday November 2nd Richard Anaya, Javascript Architect at GameSalad, had the pleasure of presenting a speech at the New Game Conference in San Francisco. The New Game Conference is the only HTML5 game conference in North America. It featured industry leaders from companies such as Google, EA, Opera, Zynga, Mozilla, and GameSalad (of course). Over two days, they covered every level of HTML5 game development including topics such as framework performance, security, graphics performance, and more. Speaking on his experience at the New Game Conference, Richard shared: “The New Game conference was an amazing experience. I don’t know if there is a single conference in our industry better targeted at gaming on the web. The speakers were top notch, and I came away really blown away at the technologies we’re going to see in the year ahead! I spoke about large project management and optimizations using Google Closure. I was surprised at the interest and reaction of the audience as the topic seemed pretty well received. Developers are working hard these days to find new and better ways to help maintain quality and sanity when bringing this large bold new ideas we’re seeing start to pop up!
