Android Increases Share in Smartphone Market

ComScore’s September MobiLens survey of over 30,000 mobile phone users revealed that Google’s Android OS has an increasing share of the U.S smartphone market. Specifically, Android reported use of 45% of the 87.4 million smartphones in the United States. This number is up from 40.2% in June.

The survey also revealed that in September, 28.8% of all United States mobile phone users played mobile games. This percentage has also increased from previous numbers reported in June and August. Source: Gamasutra
