The mobile gaming industry continues to grow and become increasingly profitable. Android and iOS games now generate more revenue than all of Nintendo and Sony’s portable game’s combined, and games continue to top the popular app categories in the Unites States. As gamers opt more and more for free apps over paid apps, the question remains as to what is the best way to monetize mobile gaming. Mixpanel, a real time analytics service, has created an infographic to address this common query. They report that the majority of future revenue for mobile games will come from mobile ads and in-app payments.
