Games on the quick.

GameSalad Creator started as a prototyping tool, allowing for rapid ideation of new kinds of game play. As such, efforts to make games quickly always catch our eye.
First off, back in January, Michael and Yoshi participated in the first Global Game Jam. The goal was to create new and original games in 48 hours. One our or friends, Blake Rebouche, created a game prototype in mere hours with GameSalad: World War Tree.
In this video Kyle Gabler, of World of Goo fame, introduces the participants into the art of making great games (or spectacular failures) quickly and on a tight budget.
In this video, Mark Cook relates the experience of creating 10 games in 10 hours.
As you can see, making fun games doesn’t have to be about large budgets and multi-year timetables.
With a great imagination, a good block of uninterrupted time, and the right tools. You too might come up with the next great indie game!
