This is a feature many of you have been begging for. Finally, you can now upload documents and any other file you want directly to SnapPages! The new Files applet's you upload and store files online and then easily add links for others to download them directly from your website. You can upload any file you want including PDFs, Word documents, video files, MP3s, and even flash files. The Files app is available to anyone with a Pro account. To start uploading, just launch the Files app and find the "upload" button. You'll be prompted to browser to the files on your computer. If you have a newer browser like Chrome, you can even drag-and-drop files directly from your computer into the upload window and it will add them for you. After your files upload, just se them to "public" and your ready to start sharing. There are several ways to link to your files. If you click on a public file in the Files app you will see the public URL of the files on the right side of the screen. You can use this public URL to link to the file from your website or even send it to someone in an email. The easiest way of course it to just use the new built in "Download" block in the page editor. When you use the Download block, you can select to point it to a single file to create a download button on your site, or you can point it to a folder and it will automatically create a list of all the public files in that folder and display them on the page. When you highlight text, you'll also notice that in addition to the regular web and email link buttons, you can now also create a text link directly to any file you have stored in the Files app. This is a huge new addition to SnapPages and it should open up a lot of new potential to create some really cool sites. It should make it a lot easier to manage your site and that's pretty exciting. Let us know what you think!
