OrgSync vs Facebook vs Google

One of the most common questions student leaders ask us during on-site training sessions or webinar presentations is: how is OrgSync different from Facebook and Google? Because so many current student leaders use both Facebook and Google to manage their organizations, many don’t initially see why they should use OrgSync. In response to this question, we found it fitting to explain to them, and everyone else, exactly how we differentiate ourselves and empower student leaders to run and sustain their organizations. Although both Facebook and Google can accomplish some of the features we offer, their pitfall is that they don’t offer one centralized location for all necessary organizational tools. For example, we agree you can promote events on Facebook or store documents on Google. However, you’d have to use third party tools to process event registration forms, delegate to-do lists, keep track of member participation and request university funding or track event budgets separately. Having all these tools in one centralized location keeps organization records up-to-date, helps ease officer transitions, and saves time in order to help students build more sustainable organizations. We encourage you to download this PDF (view below), share it with student leaders on your campus who use OrgSync or even send it to your campus administrator if you currently don’t use OrgSync. We hope this simple explanation clarifies the basic differentiating factors. OrgSync vs Facebook vs Google View more documents from OrgSync.
