GameSalad at SXSW – Starts Tomorrow!

March 10 2011, 7:53pm

Tomorrow, it begins. In just a few short hours, myself and a few other members of the GameSalad team will building a wall, constructing a video demo station, and helping game-enthusiasts from all over Austin and the rest of the country to build their first game with GameSalad. It’s SXSW time, baby! SXSW, or South-by-Southwest, is a 10 day conference held every year in Austin, Texas. We’ve participated in SXSW the last two years, and the annual festival holds a very special place in our hearts. Last year, as part of the SXSW Accelerator presentation, we received our first funding check and the events of that festival lead directly to our first funding round a few months later. In fact, Mashable recently listed us as one of the major SXSW success stories, along with Twitter and Foursquare. That’s some pretty solid company. This year, we’re coming back in style. We’ll have a booth at both SXSW Screenburn (a three day game-focused tradeshow that is free to the public) and the SXSW Interactive Trade Show. On the show floor, members of the GameSalad team, along with some of our near and dear Sous-Chefs, will guide attendees through their first GameSalad experience and even help many of them build their first game – right on the show floor! I’ll be updating the blog every day with fresh pictures, and posts from the event. Tomorrow, a great adventure begins. But, for now, back to prepping. Where You Can Find GameSalad @ SXSW:
